Tips, Tricks and Techniques

We see this "tilting of bass" a lot. Hold Bass vertical or support the tail end of the fish if you are holding horizontal. Pass this on and teach younger anglers how to properly hold fish.

Limit your back casts to 2 at the most!!! If you take all the extra back casts in a day, your fly will be in the water more often and you will catch more fish. You can hot more holding spots, you can trigger more strikes. Doing 1 backcast will enable you to fish a longer line, which in turn will get you takes from larger fish because they won't get spooked. Think like a sniper. Distance. Fish simple. Fish smart.
